Inspiration....

...Boards.

I can't get enough of them...
If you are like me, you need a place to collect your thoughts, your ideas.  Maybe you
like to toss them in a file folder or envelope with the thought of looking
at them "sometimes" down the road.
I know you've heard of inspiration boards or mood boards.  Perhaps you have
one over your desk like this one.  Mine is just a plain cork bulletin board (or actually three
lined up together).  But an inspiration board doesn't have to be a board at all...

It can be a pretty sketch book like this.  How many times have you had a story idea, written it on a
scrap of paper and promptly lost it?  Keep a little spiral sketch book like
this one handy.

Or maybe a series of fabric covered cork tiles like these that not only inspire, but
coordinate with your decor.

Short on space?  Plain old-fashioned clip boards can be tacked up just about anywhere.
If they are lined up neatly like this, they serve the purpose and look good too.

Or, how about a simple length of clothesline.  As you think of something to write about
or draw, or paint, or a good blog post, tack it up like laundry.  Story board on a string.

This one is for the super-organized among us.  The door of
categories.  Mine would need to be a very large door.

However you choose to organize your little scraps of inspiration, consider making some
sort of inspiration system...There is something about having it all out there
in front of you that is...well...inspirational.
There's something brewing here....more later.
Have a great weekend!

  2. Those are some attractive and clever ideas! My inspirations are written on note pads, then typed into the computer when I have a small collection of them. Thanks for sharing the ideas, Sharon!
