Leaves and Fall

My grandmother attended a tiny little room I think, and memorization was a big
teaching l910 when she was six, she had to memorize this stuck because she taught it to me 60+ years later....stuck with me too...

Come little leaves said the wind one day,
come over the meadow with me and play.
Put on your dresses of red and gold,
summer is gone and the days grow cold.

As soon as the leaves heard the wind's loud call,
down they came fluttering one and all.
Over the brown fields they danced and flew,
singing the soft little songs they knew.

Dancing and flying the little leaves went,
summer had gone and they were content.
Soon fast asleep in their little beds,
the snow laid a blanket over their heads.

Hope you have the happiest of autumns....the prettiest season of the year...
