Katherine Dunn of Apifera Farm celebrated Pie Day last month and I am finally getting around to
sharing some of her beautiful photography with you. Since Farm and Fru Fru is
surrounded by an invisible fence of about a 50 mile radius, and neither the farmer or I travel outside
that fence, I did NOT make it to Oregon to celebrate Pie Day in person. Katherine, however,
took many beautiful photos which you can see here. This year at Pie Day......
Donkeys were petted......
Aprons were purchased all for good causes......
Kids were enchanted.......
Hooves were painted......
Hugs were given and received.....
Pies were baked........
...and eaten......
and everyone who is anyone was there.....
By all accounts, it was a great day.
Thanks to Katherine, her dirt farmer, and her animals for sharing Apifera Farm and Pie Day
with Farm and Fru Fru and for allowing me to be a
PIE AMBASSADOR!
Can't wait till next year...
What gorgeous photos and a wonderful day. I so wish my hubby would agree to us getting a miniature donkey! This is a great cause and a caring expression of love and compassion. Very inspiring indeed :)
ReplyDeleteOh Sharon, thanks for these. My daughter met a donkey on a farm about a year ago and is very worried he or she might not recognize her, when she visits again.
ReplyDeleteShe would truly appreciate a "donkey hug area."
oh katherin do tell your daughter not to worry...donkeys DO remember....they really really do! and apifera must be a magical place!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic way to celebrate pies! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeletewhat a fun outing! and idea!! I might just have to take this idea and run with it! or I should say "bake with it!"
