One of the pleasures of living with the farmer are the exciting places we travel to.
The other day, we traveled to.............the stock yard.
Why, you ask would I go to the stockyard?
It's simple really....pie. There is pie involved.
After a very long wait, when all is sold, when everything has been unloaded....we leave the stockyard and
go to the best little side-of-the-road diner for lunch that includes....
THE BEST HOMEMADE PIE on earth....
apple pie, coconut pie, boston cream pie, chocolate pie, key lime pie, berry pie, banana cream pie,
did I mention coconut, because coconut cream pie is worth a trip to the (smelly) stockyard, and the very early departure, and the hour and a half drive, and the extended wait in line.
So that is why I tolerate a trip to the stockyard...pie.
I will be taking a few days off and wish you a happy holiday weekend. I will see you back here next week!
