Sweets for the Sweet

I buy a lot of cookies

B's Sugar Cookies
1/2 cup soft butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1/8 t salt
1/2 t vanilla extract
1/2 t almond extract
3/4 cup flour
Beat butter and sugar (I do it by hand but you can pull out a mixer if you want). Add other ingr., flour last. Drop on parchment lined cookie sheet, sprinkle with sugar, and bake at 375 just until edges start to brown, about 12 minutes. Remove to cooling rack and I sprinkle a little more sugar just for good measure...

Package these in a little cell bag with some fiber or ribbon tied on, or a plain old brown lunch bag...but instead of folding the top down neatly, try twisting it like you used to do with your lunch bag when you were a kid and tie with string or twine and a red heart just for fun...let me know how they turn out...

COFFEE FILTER TIP #8: Use filters to soak up grease from french fries, chicken etc...or place bacon on a few when microwaving...  soaks up all that unhealthy grease!

Have a great day!

What a darling squirrel! Oh, and the felt stick pins are really lovely. What a delightful idea! Thank you so much too for your kind words on my little old blog. I treasure them a great deal! Hope this finds you well!
