Skirt 2

If you excuse my legs and feet, you can see my completed circle skirt...

This time, I used a reverse applique technique ala Alabama Chanin...
Again, the skirt was a bit short so I added a khaki strip and then another black one...
The circles are gray, white and khaki.  I love how this turned out and I love my red clogs...
I think I'll cover up those white stems with black tights though....

  1. Love the skirt. Did you take individual different colored little round scraps for the reverse applique? I couldn't tell if the skirt had a second layer or not...
    And the black ballerinas go very well with it too!

  2. i did use separate little pieces of various colors. then i added the khaki strip and finished it with a very wide black strip that covers all the various little pieces on the bakside just so it looked a little neater underneath...i tacked it up inside so it would not catch...then there is about a 1" strip of black showing beneath the khaki strip. thanks for the compliment!
